Rev. Dr. Valentino J. McNeal, B.S., MDiv, DMin
The Reverend Doctor Valentino J. McNeal is the Founder and Senior Pastor of New Beginnings Christian Community Fellowship, Knoxville Tennessee.
He was born in Greenville, Mississippi; he is the sixth child of eight children. Dr. McNeal has been married for 35 years to Rosalinda V. McNeal also of Greenville, Mississippi, they have an adult daughter, Dr. Berlondrika J. McNeal.
Dr. McNeal gave his life to Christ at the age of 12 and became a Lay Minister at the age of 21. He was licensed to preach the Gospel and ordained to the Gospel Ministry at Dayspring Community Church, in Greenbelt, Maryland. In 1999, he was selected to serve as a chaplain in the United States Air Force, where he served for 9 nine years until he retired after 28 years of total service to our country. As a Lay Minister and Air Force Chaplain, he was given the privilege and awesome opportunity to minister to people from all over the world. His overseas travels and ministries included: Japan, Philippines, The Republic of Korea, Berlin Germany, England, and the Middle East during the Iraqi War.
Dr. McNeal received his undergraduate education at The Community College of the Air Force, at Maxwell Air Force Base, Alabama where he earned an Associate of Applied Science in Communication Technology, and a Bachelor of Science in the field of Electronic Management at Southern Illinois University at Carbondale, Illinois.
After receiving his Bachelor of Science Degree, he went on to earn his Masters of Divinity from Wesley Theological Seminary in Washington D.C. Dr. McNeal earned a Doctorate of Ministry in Marriage and Family, from Palmer Theological Seminary, in Philadelphia Pennsylvania.
Dr. McNeal served as the Assistant Vice President of Tennessee Baptist Missionary and Educational Convention Eastern Region and also served as a board member of the State Convention. He is the Vice President of the East
Knoxville Free Medical Clinic.
The Lord has anointed Dr. McNeal with the ministry gifts of, preaching, teaching, evangelizing, empowering, and counseling. With an intentional and purposeful focus on love, he has committed these gifts for their purpose stated in Ephesians 4:12, (“for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ”). Dr. McNeal’s motto for ministry is “To give the least of these, the most of me.” Empowered by The Holy Spirit, he is leading God’s people on a path that produces Life-Changers, Hope-Givers, Kingdom-Builders, disciples, leaders, and mature fruit-bearing Christians.
